Credit Recovery

What is Credit Recovery?

The Northbridge Credit Recovery program is designed to support students who have fallen behind in credits at North Penn High School or in danger of losing credits in 9th grade, and are working toward the goal of graduation or returning to their appropriate grade level.  The academic program is aligned with NPSD curriculum, and Northbridge teachers utilize a combination of online and traditional instruction to meet student’s needs.  Students work with a Northbridge counselor to set individual goals, as well as track progress toward achieving these goals.

Students in this program will attend school Monday through Friday as per the following schedule:

~ Mon-Fri: 7:45-2:05

As a component of our Credit Recovery program, designed to assist students in recovering credits from courses they did not successfully complete in the previous school year, students will be scheduled with a teacher for the specific subject(s) in which they did not earn credit. The teacher will work with the student to master the content necessary to earn credit for these courses. Students will receive a Pass/Fail grade for their daily assigned work in the credit recovery period. Students will receive credit for passing the credit recovery period. Additionally, successful completion of this work will result in the student earning credit for the original course they are recovering. Students can be scheduled for this program up to five days per week or a minimum of three days per week.
