Hybrid Learning

How is hybrid learning utilized?

Hybrid learning is an educational program in which a portion of the content and instruction is delivered directly from the teacher and a portion is delivered via digital or online media. Hybrid learning also provides the students with some control over the time, pace and path of the learning.

One method of hybrid learning that is utilized at Northbridge is a station-rotation model. In a station-rotation model a class is broken down into three smaller groups; one group works with the teacher, one group works independently online, and one group collaborates with each other on a small project or assignment. During each period, students rotate through all three stations, allowing them to receive the same content in three different forms of instruction.
