Programs offered at Northbridge

Northbridge Short Term RISE Program

The Northbridge Short Term Rise Program supports students who are transitioning back to the sending school after being discharged from a mental health hospitalization.  In addition, the short term program supports students recommended from the sending school whose mental health issues are making it difficult for them to be successful in the regular setting, an intervening step prior to hospitalization.  Short term students continue to work on their course work with the support of Northbridge teachers, and are also provided counseling to address areas of concern and their overall emotional well being. A typical duration for students in the short term rise program is 1-3 weeks.

 Northbridge Long Term RISE Program

The Northbridge Long Term RISE program serves students who are struggling with attendance in school due to trauma, medical issues, and mental health issues.

The Long Term RISE Program is therapeutic in nature; students receive individual counseling on a weekly basis, and group counseling daily.  The individual sessions are designed to address specific concerns, as well as identify action oriented short term and long term goals. The group counseling setting  allows for the group therapeutic dynamic, and addresses more global issues. The academic program is aligned with North Penn School District curriculum, and Northbridge teachers utilize a combination of online and traditional instruction to meet student’s needs.  The program is designed to last for the duration of the school year.

Northbridge Bridge Program

The Northbridge Bridge program is designed to support students who have fallen behind in credits at North Penn High School and are working toward the goal of graduation or returning to their appropriate grade level.  The academic program is aligned with North Penn School District curriculum, and Northbridge teachers utilize a combination of online and traditional instruction to meet student’s needs.  Bridge students work with Northbridge counselors to set individual goals, as well as track progress toward achieving these goals.
