RISE
The Northbridge RISE program provides a supportive and flexible learning environment for students navigating attendance challenges related to life transitions, mental health challenges, or recent hospitalizations. By prioritizing student stability and success, the program offers integrated wellness resources alongside an academic framework fully aligned with the NPSD curriculum. As part of their daily schedule, students utilize an online platform for a designated period to work independently on coursework under teacher supervision. This structure allows Northbridge teachers to tailor the educational experience to meet each student’s unique needs, helping them build independence and stay on track for graduation.
Northbridge Credit Recovery
The Credit Recovery program helps NPHS students who have fallen behind in credits or are at risk of losing credits in 9th grade. Its goal is to support students in getting back on track toward graduation or returning to their proper grade level. The program follows the NPSD curriculum, where students are scheduled into a designated Credit Recovery period to work directly with subject-specific teachers on mastering content from incomplete courses. In addition, students work with Northbridge counselors and teachers to set personal goals and monitor their progress. This process provides students with the guidance and structure needed to strengthen their independence and readiness for future success.
North Penn Virtual Academy
The North Penn Virtual Academy (NPVA) is a program designed for students who prefer the virtual instructional environment, and 100% of the engagement is online. Northbridge School teachers oversee the program, and interact with their students in a virtual environment when scheduled during office hours. Instruction is delivered in a completely asynchronous environment. NPVA students are able to attend all after school activities sponsored by their home school, while enrolled in the virtual program. Students can take both their entire class schedule online or partial schedule of courses. Instruction is delivered in a completely asynchronous environment. In accordance with updated state law, there will be a required weekly check-in virtually with a teacher from our Northbridge staff.
